Whether or not Christian rap music is appropriate depends on the individual, but there are several scriptural points to remember.

Is It OK for Christians to Listen to Rap Music?
Rap has a history of being violent, sexual, and filthy. Unfortunately, this reputation has grown quite nicely. Rap and hip-hop make up a substantial component of mainstream pop music, and these genres’ underlying themes typically deal with unlawful sex and the objectification of both men and women.
Due to these connections, some find it difficult to distinguish between the words they hear in Christian rap and the lyrics they anticipate hearing in secular rap.
If the music causes us to consider immoral things, takes our focus away from God’s goodness (Philippians 4:8), or stirs up negative feelings in us, then Christian rap isn’t the best choice. Music may substantially affect our spiritual well-being, even if the words are clean.
We should be aware of how music influences our hearts, not simply rap music (Proverbs 4:23–26), and consider whether the Holy Spirit forbids us from listening to it in the first place (1 Thessalonians 5:19).
Rap has a negative image, yet an increasing number of Christian rappers are producing excellent, musically and theologically sound, thought-provoking rap.
Christian rap offers a pure option for fans of the genre who would otherwise be subjected to an endless stream of pornographic imagery.
However, it isn’t for everyone. It’s important to remember that while Christian rap may benefit you, it may have the opposite effect on someone in your vicinity. When our desires come before our love for our brother, we have sinned (see 1 Corinthians 10).
God may use any music to share His message. Many Christians have chosen music as their ministry, adopting diverse musical styles to carry out this vocation.

A person’s evaluation and convictions will determine whether or not Christian rap is appropriate for them. If you’re unsure if Christian rap would be good or bad for you, keep in mind Philippians 4:6, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Any particular genre of music is acceptable.
The problem is that certain musical genres are frequently utilized to promote unethical actions. As you noted, rap music often deals with themes of sex, drugs, and murder.
Rap isn’t my thing, but sometimes it comes on when passing cars turn up the sound. Most of the time, the songs have several swear words.
As Jesus once remarked, “You become what you think.” “Because wickedness, adultery, fornications, murders, robberies, covetousness, deception, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, conceit, and ignorance are things that come from inside, out of men’s hearts.
Mark 7:20–23 states that “all these evil things come from within and defile a man.” When a person’s mind is overflowing with pictures or even utterances of evil, it will likely impact their words, thoughts, and behavior.
It’s hard enough to fight sin without letting it into our souls. A Christian’s life has no place for music, whether it is hip-hop or country-western, that propagates immoral ideas.
